If you are looking for something fun and family friendly to do this Memorial Day Weekend, be sure to check out Little Island at Pier 54. The island features kid and family activities, snacks and bites, an outdoor amphitheater and a beautiful exploration between nature and art! Keep reading to find out more.

Little Island’s History

Pier 54, which sustained great damage from Hurricane Sandy was in need of repairs. Barry Diller of the Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation worked closely with the Hudson River Park Trust to bring to life the vision of Little Island. This island is rich in history, as the Hudson River Park was used by the Lenape tribe to fish, hunt and trade along the Hudson River!
