Autumn brings certain beverages to the forefront: pumpkin spice lattes, steamy cups of hot chocolate, and of course, cider! To really jump into the celebration of cider season, join in on the annual fall event, Cider Week NYC. Held from November 8th through 17th 2019, Cider Week is a time to celebrate craft cider by indulging in tastings, dinners, classes, and more, all throughout NYC. From top restaurants and bars to retail shops, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to indulge in all things cider-centric.

You can find the full lineup of spots participating in Cider Week on their website, but we’ve gone ahead and highlighted our can’t miss events below…all conveniently taking place near a Glenwood neighborhood!

For Cider Tastings

If you live on the Upper East Side, head to City Swiggers, located at 320 East 86th Street. Enjoy a free tasting on Friday, November 8th from 6 to 9pm. You will be able to nestle comfortably into one of their 30 seats, and then perhaps grab your favorite cider to go. With plenty of choices of ciders to choose from, we’re confident you’ll find your new favorite for fall! This Upper East Side hotspot is just steps away from Glenwood’s luxury building The Cambridge, located on 500 East 85th Street.

Upper East Siders can also find great ciders at Jones Wood Foundry, just a few blocks from many Glenwood residencies, such as The Pavilion. From 5-10pm any night throughout cider week, pick from an impressive list of ciders, many of which are from our neighbors to the north in the Hudson Valley!

For Cider And Cheese Pairings

On Saturday, November 9th from 6:30 to 8pm, join in the fun at Murray’s Cheese for an evening of fine cider and cheese pairings. You will be able to indulge in Happy Hour cider flights and of course cheese! This event cost $85 dollars to attend.

Murray’s Cheese is located in downtown Manhattan, making it a nice autumn stroll or super quick Uber ride from any of the Downtown Glenwood residences. Tenants at Tribeca Bridge Tower can walk along the Hudson River Greenway for most of the distance, making it an even more scenic walk.

A Helpful Tip: For cheese lovers, Murray’s also has a location at Grand Central Station, near The Belmont and Paramount Tower.
