Cooking Thanksgiving dinner is no small task. If you crave the cozy factor of eating at home in lieu of a restaurant, but shudder at all the work involved, we have just the solution for you: hire a caterer! Professional catering services are perfect for New Yorkers looking to order in for Thanksgiving. Here are the go-to caterers in Manhattan to help get the job done!

Butterfield

Upper East Side residents will love the absolute ease of ordering catering from Butterfield. Their Thanksgiving catering menu is broken up into packages, ranging from one feeding six people ($215) to one feeding twelve ($590). Within this breakup is the basic meal, including “thick cut” all natural turkey breast, homemade gravy, traditional stuffing, cranberry sauce, green beans with shiitake mushrooms, mashed potatoes, country cornbread, and apple pie, going up to the deluxe meal which includes all of the above in addition to a citrus mixed green salad, corn chowder, a whole roasted turkey, praline sweet potatoes, traditional buttermilk biscuits, and pumpkin pie. It works out to be just $35 to $50 a person, which is a lot better deal than you’ll get in a restaurant for the meal!

And if the packages don’t work for your size group, fear not. They also give you the option to order a la carte, which is perfect for groups of every size. To order, simply go onto their website and fill out the Thanksgiving meal order sheet, then email, fax, or call it in. They deliver all over Manhattan, even on Thanksgiving day! Make sure to place your order by Friday, November 16th at 5pm.

Good To Know: Are you dreading the thought of serving and cleanup, as well? With Butterfield, you can even hire waitstaff to take care of all of that for you! That way, you can truly mix and mingle with your guests and enjoy the holiday in the comfort of your Glenwood apartment. Simply call and speak to their catering coordinator to set it all up: (212) 772 8782 Ext. 3.

Eli Zabar

Whether you’re a New Yorker living Uptown at The Lucerne or Downtown, on the Eastside or Westside, you know that an Eli Zabar Thanksgiving meal is one you can serve from your kitchen with confidence. It’s a NYC institution! The Thanksgiving catering menu is set up a la carte with all the classic staples, and they encourage you to cook the items of the meal you feel excited about, and then to order everything else! Their catering department is on call, waiting to take your call and walk you through exactly how much of each dish you should order depending on how many guests you’ll have, what dietary restrictions there are, etc. They’ll even help you order the extras, such as flowers and wine. The menu here is extensive, and they cover everything from the starters, to the birds and beasts, to the “traditional “ plates, to the sides and veggies, and of course desserts!

There is a $50 order minimum for delivery in Manhattan, and while there’ss no cutoff date to order your Thanksgiving meal by, it’s probably best to put it on your to-do list sooner rather than later to ensure your menu planning goes smoothly.

Good To Know: If you have anyone in your party who is gluten-free, they have a wide range of gluten free desserts, including apple tarts, lemon meringue, and cranberry rugelach.

Dean & Deluca

One of the most delectable names in the catering industry, Dean & Deluca is a sure-fire way to impress Thanksgiving guests. There’s a set Thanksgiving menu, but they price everything by the quart, so you can essentially make their menu work for any sized crowd. They have several meat options, including: an uncooked turkey (so you can do the honors!), a roasted turkey with thyme and sage, roasted boneless turkey breast, and a baked spiral ham with pomegranate and clementine glaze. Your order must be placed by Thursday, November 15th, and pick up windows start Monday, November 19th.

Good To Know: They also offer beautiful fall inspired gift baskets, which are a great add-on to your order to send to special family members who may live far away. It’s an easy way to take a little piece of NYC and make sure it’s with them on the holiday!
