Great Ways To Give Back This Holiday Season

The holiday season is here! In holiday spirit, try to give back in anyway you can.  Giving back in any way you can is a great way to help spread holiday cheer! Below are a few different ways you can help out this time of year.

Operation Santa

You can check your local post office, who has lists for Operation Santa. What an easy and fun way to help out those in need! It is as easy as visiting this link by clicking here or go to https://www.uspsoperationsanta.com.

If you have Instagram and happen to follow celebrities or influencers- many create their own versions of Operation Santa linking amazon wishlists for families in need or teachers to help students who will likely not be gifted holiday gifts at home this season. Sara Foster, an actress and fashion designer, has created a huge movement of creating her own version of Operation Santa. Follow her stories this holiday season to see how you can help out if you would like to participate! This will be her fourth year orchestrating this!

Donate

Donate to your local food banks or coat and toy drives this season. News outlets have reported that donations to coat and toy drives are down this year. And yes, while going out to buy a toy in a store may not be accessible this year for some, you can order online! Try to shop small, yes it is very easy to order from Amazon but if you can- the small, local stores need your help this season! Your local restaurants also need help- a great gift for a friend or family member close by is a gift card to that restaurant you love!

Cook A Meal Or Bake A Treat

If you have a neighbor who you know is going to be alone this holiday season, a nice baked meal or treat is the perfect way to spread cheer! Isolation is difficult, but even more so during this time of year. So, think of those who you can touch with the simple gesture of baking a pumpkin bread loaf, gingersnap cookies or Hanukkah themed cookies!
