While we’re already very familiar with the larger holiday market pop-ups that grace Manhattan with their presence every December (located in Union Square, Bryant Park, and Columbus Circle), today we’re bringing to you smaller, lesser known pop-up shops that will be here for a finite period-of-time. Take advantage of them while you can, they’re perfect for loading up on any last-minute gifts in these last few days before Christmas.
If You’re Buying For A Homebody
Brooklinen NYC Pop-Up Shop
Brooklyn’s local bedding company, Brooklinen, currently has a pop-up shop Downtown in Soho. It’s only open this winter (through February), but gives you the perfect opportunity to touch the sheets yourself to see what thread count is right for you in your Glenwood home. A huge plus about this pop-up? Unlike many of these “straight from the merchant to buyer” models, they will be holding inventory at the shop. So, you can walk out that same day with your new bed gear!

Il Buco Vita Annual Holiday Pop-Up Shop
Il Buco is a Downton legend, famous for their food. But through the holidays, they will also be showcasing artisanal housewares, antiques, and ceramics, all sourced from Italy by the restaurant’s founder. You’ll be sure to find a unique gift for someone who loves to add a touch of elevation on their tablescape.

Everything is so pretty, you might even want to load up on a few special essentials for your own Grand Tier apartment here, in addition to purchasing gifts for loved ones.

If You’re Shopping For Someone Who Deserves Something Truly Unique
Art Students League Holiday Art Sale
If you are looking for a one of a kind, unique item, head to the Art Students League Holiday Art Sale. They will have more than 425 works of art by emerging artists in the NYC art scene. You’ll find everything from paintings and prints of landscapes, still life artwork, abstracts, and portraits. Prices range from $50 to $1,000. This is equally convenient for residents living on the Westside and Midtown East.

In addition to gifts, they will be hosting a variety of other activities, such as performances, concerts, live poetry, and even dinner parties.
