NYC’s Best New Years Brunch Spots

Friends at brunch together

Gathering with friends and family to break bread and kick off 2020 is just about the best way to bring in the new year we can think of. Most likely, the last thing you want to do after staying up late the night before is to prepare anything homemade in your NYC apartment, so we’ve taken the legwork out of it and rounded up a few excellent places for you and your loved ones to brunch on New Year’s Day. And to put the frosting on the cake? They are all located in your very own Glenwood Manhattan neighborhood, meaning a quick walk is all the commute you’ll need!

For Downtowners: Bubby’s

Bubby’s is everything you love about classic diner food, taken to the next level. Located at 120 Hudson St, Bubby’s has been a Downtown staple since 1990, meaning you know it’s a goodie! Everything on the a la carte menu has earned its spot over the years, but we’re told that their sour-cream pancakes are a comfort food classic! And of course, any of the pie selections for dessert!

Another plus about Bubby’s? It’s spacious and super family friendly, so feel free to bring those kids without hesitation!

Brunch Hours: 8am—11am

As any New Yorker knows, waiting in line while hungry is not an ideal way to start any day, let alone New Year’s! We suggest either calling the above restaurants in advance to secure a reservation, or jumping onto OpenTable and reserving your table that way. Happy brunching, and more importantly, Happy New Year! May 2020 be the best yet.
