If you are looking for something fun to do this August, check out NYC’s Smorgasburg! If you are a foodie, this is for you! Started in 2011, the NYC Smorgasburg now comprised of four different locations is the largest outdoor food market in America! Each weekend, join the 30,000 people who venture out to get food from over 100 different vendors!  Glenwood residents who haven’t visited the Smorgasburg locations should definitely this summer season!

 

 

Four Different Locations

There are four different locations that the Smorgasbord takes place at:

 

  1. Smorgasburg Williamsburg takes place every Saturday from 11am-6pm at East River State Park at 90 Kent Ave with 100 vendors.

 

  1. Smorgasburg Hudson Yard takes place every Tuesdays and Wednesday from 11am-7pm at West 34thStreet with 6 vendors. Glenwood residents who work or live in midtown like in Emerald Green or Crystal Green should check this out!

 

  1. Smorgasburg at Prospect Park Breeze Hill takes place every Sunday from 11am-6pm with 100 vendors.

 

  1. Smorgasburg Westfield World Trade Center, Oculus Plaza, takes place on Friday from 11am-7pm with 30 vendors. Glenwood residents who work or live downtown should check this out!

Smorgasburg is a time to be adventurous with food! Whether you are a foodie or a picky eater, there are delicious options for everyone to try! With cuisines from around the world and some that are novel, you will get lost for hours wondering between each and every vendor! If you are visiting either Brooklyn location bring a blanket to find some space in either park to relax and enjoy the day! If you are going to the Williamsburg location, check out the Artist and Fleas Williamsburg market for some great shopping! Or, if you are looking to work up an appetite, Soul Cycle Williamsburg and SLT Williamsburg are nearby! If you are going to Smorgasburg in Prospect Park, walk to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens after!
