Be Green In Your Apartment

While all these great events are going on around NYC, being green in your everyday life is easy to do too!  Here are some great habits to pick up this Earth Day:

  1. Try using small towels or rags in your kitchen instead of excessive paper towels!
  2. When you unplug your laptop or cell phone from its charger, make sure you unplug the charger from the wall as well!
  3. Try using organic cleaning supplies, you can make your own or purchase some from different organic companies!
  4. Always turn off the lights when you leave for the day, something we all now to do, but often forget a closet or bathroom light!
  5. Switch to energy efficient light bulbs like CFLs (compact fluorescent lightbulbs)
