There are plenty of activities in Manhattan that make for the ideal spring date ideas. If you’re tired of the same old dinner-and-a-movie routine, look no further. Outdoor Spring Date Ideas

Take a Stroll Around The Conservatory Garden

Located on the North East side of Central Park, The Conservatory Garden is the ideal spot to go for a romantic day date. It’s a six-acre formal garden, divided into three smaller gardens: Italian, French, and English, all depicting their very own styles. The greenery and springtime blooms here are absolutely gorgeous, as are the water and fountain fixtures.

Unlike the rest of Central Park, The Conservatory Garden is designated a “quiet zone”, which makes it perfect for strolling along hand in hand, or laying down a picnic blanket to enjoy soaking in the springtime sun while reading books together, or using a headphone splitter to listen to a captivating podcast, which you can then discuss in great detail on your walk home.

The entrance to the garden is located at Fifth Avenue and 105th Street, and it’s free to visit. This is an ideal date idea for Glenwood residents living on the Upper East Side.

Sign Up for a Rooftop Yoga Class

Located in Midtown East, Yo Yoga! offers outdoor classes on their rooftop when temperatures reach 68 degrees or higher, assuming there’ss no spring showers, in which case it’s relocated indoors. The rooftop is surrounded by exposed brick buildings and twinkle lights, giving a magical feeling to the practice, and a romantic night out that’s a bit different than the same ol’s same ol’s rooftop bar scene.

A single class pass is $25, or if you’re really looking for a way to both get in shape physically and emotionally this season, consider their new student special, which is $65 for an unlimited month of yoga. This studio is ideal for Glenwood residents residing at The Bamford and The Bristol.

Indoor Spring Date Ideas

Gallery Hop in Chelsea

This spring date idea is ideal for those spring shower evenings where it’s pretty out with touch and go showers. You can head to Chelsea on the Westside every Thursday at 6pm, and hop from gallery to gallery, checking out new art, meeting artists, mingling with a very artsy crowd, and even sipping free wine! Chelsea Gallery Nights happen in the Chelsea art district, which is between West 19th and 28th streets, and 10th and 11th Avenues. The events are free, and on a pretty night you can also head over to the elevated park The Highline to take a stroll afterwards, and maybe wish on a star or two.

Both the Chelsea Galleries and The Highline are in super close proximity to residents living in Emerald Green.

Learn How To Create Your Own Container Garden

Another spring date idea that is enjoyed inside but is so quintessentially appropriate for the season is container gardening. What better way to bring the beauty of the outdoors indoors?

If you’ve read Glenwood’s post on container gardening, you’re already familiar with the ins and outs of this fun date idea. You learn how to create the perfect container garden for your NYC patio, terrace, or entryway that is both functional and pretty!

The class is given by the New York Botanical Garden at their Midtown Manhattan location, which is perfect for Glenwood residents at The Belmont. They’ll teach you tips and tricks to keep your garden thriving through all four seasons. All materials are provided in class, and the two class session is $249.
