Storm King Art Center

Storm King Art Center is 300 acres filled with incredible sculptures designed by renowned artists such as Calder and Mark di Suvero. It is the perfect place to spend the day! You can rent bikes there or walk the paths. It is a beautiful place to have a picnic. It is located at 1 Museum Rd, New Windsor, NY 12553 about 1hr and 15minutes from NYC.

Nassau County Museum of Art

This 145 acre estate was once home to steel tycoon Henry Clay Frick. Currently it is expansive grounds covered with over 40 sculptural works, some on loan from the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. Both the grounds and artworks are equally breathtaking. If you are looking to get out of the city for the day, check out the Nassau County Museum of Art. While the interior building exhibit is closed, all of the exterior exhibits are open.

Kykuit Estate

Home to four generations of the Rockefeller family, the Kykuit Estate is located in Sleepy Hallow, NY. It is overlooking the Hudson with spectacular views and grounds. While the actual estate is not open to tours, if you want to drive out of NYC and spend the day exploring Sleepy Hallow, this estate is worth passing!

Art Omi is located in Ghent, NY. While it is a 2 hour and 15 minute drive from NYC, if you are looking to get out of NYC for the entire day, this numerous outdoor exhibits will keep you busy all day long! It is open now! With sculptures from artists like Bernar Venet, this is a must see if you are an art lover!
