February – the month of all things love and long weekends galore (thank you, President’s Day!). While it may be the shortest month of the year, there’ss certainly no shortage of things to do in New York City, and we’ve rounded up the best of the best. You’ll find ways to celebrate with all your loves this month, whether that’s your best gal pal, your romantic flame, your furry friend, your adorable child, or your fabulous self!

This One’s For The Girls: February 2nd-24th

This One’s For The Girls is a high-energy musical, celebrating women, featuring classic popular songs like I am Woman, Respect, Stand by Your Man, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, These Boots are Made for Walkin’, I Will Survive, and Greatest Love of All. You’ll leave bopping your head and shimming your feet to the beat!

The show is taking place all month long at the cozy St. Luke’s Theatre, located in Midtown. Grab a ticket for Friday or Saturday (tickets start at $44), and invite your best girlfriend to go with you. We personally think this would make an excellent Galentines date!

  • Fresh sushi
  • Smokey and tangy BBQ
  • Asian cuisine
  • French flare
  • Mexican recipes
  • Caribbean dishes

Best of all, every bite is prepared kosherly! General admission tickets may be purchased in advance on their website for $125. The event lasts from 5:30pm to 9:30pm, and is for people 21 and up.

This is an ideal event for Glenwood residents living on the Westside, such as the Crystal Green building.

Romance Under The Stars: February 14th

Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History is hosting a Valentine’s event that promises to be a good one: Romance Under the Stars!

While it may be too cold in NYC to stand in Central Park this time of year and star gaze, the planetarium has you covered with shelter, live jazz by the Josh Rutner Quartet, an open bar, chocolate galore, hors d’oeuvres, and a view of the stars complete with love stories based on mythology. There are two events, one at 6:30pm and the next at 9pm, and tickets are $125, available on their website.

Glenwood residents of Hawthorn Park will find this incredibly easy to get to!
