Looking For A New Read?

Do you love to read but have just not had the time? With the encouragement for each of us to stay home as much as possible in these next few weeks, whether thats uptown or downtown you may find yourself able to pick up that book you have been meaning to read for a while.

If you need some suggestions, we highly recommend Reese Witherspoon’s book club! You can find it on Instagram @reesesbookclub or go to hello-sunshine.com.  Each month, Reese carefully chooses a new great read with strong protagonists and compelling stories!

Reese also started her own production company called Hello Sunshine and has been putting out some great new shows based on her favorite books like Big Little Lies on HBO and Little Fires Everywhere on Hulu that premiered this week on March 18th. (The first three episodes are out now!) She also announced she is going to turn Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins into a tv series!

Oprah also has a great book club, to view her book selection this month click here! There are 83 books for you to choose from! If you visit her book club website you can see some great interviews between her and authors!

Give Back

If you are looking to give back during this time, it can be done in so many ways. If you want to give to an organization that helps food pantries, soup kitchens and other community partners, consider donating to City Harvest. City Harvest rescues food for New Yorker’s and is NYC’s largest food rescue organization helping to feed over a million new Yorkers each year.  The food they are able to obtain is donated to hundreds of food pantries throughout NYC.

If you have elderly or immune compromised people in your life that are scared to go out to buy food and you are going on a run to the supermarket or drug store, ask if you could pick them up anything!
